Wandsfell Don't Call Me Babe 'Gabby'

6/9/12 - 5/1/26

At the beginning of the year, I had to say goodbye to one of my favourites, Gabby.

She belied her years until recently, when age finally caught up with her.

She was shown only briefly but won 1 resCC, along with other BIS and BP at breed clubs.

She was an excellent mum and produced Sh Ch W. Dream of Me, and a number of champ show winners. I'm indebted to her for the contribution she has made to the Kennel.

That aside. I loved the bones of her. Her gentle, unassuming presence, her dark, kind eyes, her abysmal sense of direction. Her tail always wagged right to the end. She leaves a huge gap that will be hard to fill.

I have been given your name from Fran as I’m looking for an older English setter bitch. We have had setters as pets for over 40 years as well as flatcoats. We have recently lost our last flatcoat and our English setter Biddy has become very depressed. We are looking for a bitch about 7 years plus. We live in Lincolnshire and have a very large garden, over an acre, which is dog proof. We are retired and our dog is never left for long and they always come on holiday with us.
If you know of any bitches that need a good pet home could you please let me know?
Thank you so much.
