It has been a very busy summer with both Gabby and Maddie having their litters by ShCh Richecca Shades of Grey just a week a part. Their 17 puppies were lovely to have, and we were very pleased with both litters. We have retained four puppies that will hopefully be shown next year. Several have gone to show homes and we wish them lots of luck.
After 2 years of looking all over the world and much research, we welcomed Maggie to Wandsfell at the end of July. She has come from France, and brings completely new lines to our kennel and the breed in the UK. In France there is not a divide between the show and working setters, as there is here, so she can be described as a dual purpose setter; her maternal grandfather is a dual champion being both a show and field trail champion. We are very grateful to her breeder and all at Berges De Illet Setters for their help, and allowing us to bring Maggie to England. We are very excited about what she will contribute to the kennel in the long term. She has been hearing tested normal, PRA RCD 4 normal. We may take her to a few shows.
Wade has sired his first litter of 9 pups, that were born on 22nd September.
